My dream is to become a game designer and im on a school chromebook so wick is the only engine that wasnt blocked and that does not use blocks, and ive got to start somewhere I mean ive got some experience already now I need to get more and use it to persue my dream, and also TO YOUR SIDE NOTE I know but I like to move fast and this is my favorite chat so far

Yes, finding good designing softwares is difficult on school devices (it’s a good thing Wick exists).

You’ll probably be able to learn coding & designing with Wick in no time. You’ll become a great designer, that’s for sure

i want to make a 2d shooter game P1 vs. AI But I dont know any code for it, Or even where to start

I added 3 lives for each player. Didn’t make guns be unable to pass through walls, but I think it’s okay to leave it out. If you shoot a player you get your gun back immediately. Partially for “combos” but mostly laziness. (in the end, I did actually fix the “stuck on the side of a block” bug - it was way easier to fix than I thought)

Next time I plan to add sound effects and at least 3 different maps. Maybe I’ll get rid of the “reload to play again” and make it load the game every time you play a map. By then I might be able to call it 1.0 unless high-demand suggestions come.

We also have some bonus content - my mom (red) vs me (blue)! It was laggy because I was recording but it shows what there is to offer.

I am learning Wick to teach myself and my Nephew about animation, javascript and programming ideas.
This project has incorporated most of what I have learned from the tutorials, help forums and great kind help from @Hamzah_Al_Ani who got me started and helped with cloning.
This is a simple space alien shooter. I want to figure out how to do an asteroids game as well as the original space invaders games but that is for the next projects. Great work everyone!!

1.the informative almanac update
more enemies and the filling in of the in-between of the game

2.the big bad boss update
for this, I will be needing @time_to_draw to help me draw a boss that looks like a cartoony version of Master hand whom will appear when and if you get 500 points

3.having a BLAST update
new types of bullets and friends NPC to help the player! also includes 2 player mode lol

4.light finds away (small update)
adds a storyline

updates not chosen will appear another time so please vote!
also, check the sound version on Newgrounds and maybe itch.io ! :)

(also forgot to mention the people’s whose name mentioned above have their votes weigh more lol.your vote can weigh more if you decide to help)

and only one glitch for the update
occasional long loading time in new grounds(not really a glitch)

In my opinion is always better to walk before you can run.
start with simple projects , ask specific questions and climb the ladder to reach your goal
