i’d like to point out that this is basically a clone of my character. other than stuff like the color of the shirt, the hair style, and other very subtle changes, that character is basically my design.

i’m not gonna stop you from using that, just know it’s not the first of its kind on the forum.

let’s be real, it is super similar:

  • rectangle body with gray binary shirt
  • circular face
  • long vertical eyes
  • stick arms
  • mouth and no nose

the only differences are the exact colors, the hairstyle, and hte use of the brush tool more than the rectangle/circle/line tools.

i’m not sure if you can copyright your character if it’s basically my style, but i don’t know any law.

again, not forcing you to switch.

@KringlePrinkles, just saying “african american” isn’t racist, neither is saying “black”. it’s only when you put it in bad context.

@Makponse_Yamonche, i don’t really know. maybe wcb wasn’t aware that my pfp was my character. or it’s the same reason people use my character without permission (the simplicity). and what you just said was pretty rude, not gonna lie. course, i don’t know exactly what that is, but you should probably take that back.

a trademark is different than a copyright, copyright prevents people from copying your work, trademark is a thing used to identify like a brand. i just wanted to say that cuz you trademarked the character and i thought that was kinda weird, and i didn’t really know what trademark meant so i just assumed it wasn’t common knowledge
